Unbelievable. I checked my various email accounts this morning and to my surprise found a message from Blogger.com informing me they have temporarily suspended one of my blogs pending a review citing a possible violation of the TOS. Excuse me? The blog in question, testblog568.blogspot.com, was only created a few days ago for the simple [...]

Well it’s here. Sometime during the wee hours of this morning or even possibly late last night WordPress 2.5 hit the shelves. While the timing may seem strange to some (Saturday - Sunday) I think it was done this way to coincide with WordCamp Dallas.
Have I upgraded this blog? No. Will I anytime soon? Probably [...]

An oft overlooked part of one’s website is the 404 page. Many of the visitors who see your 404 page will most likely be first time visitors looking for something in particular. Rather than show them some drab looking “404 Page Not Found” message you might want to consider providing something a little more useful. [...]

As the final release of WordPress 2.5 fast approaches, I’ve been having a lot of fun playing around with 2.4-bleeding which has since become WP 2.5 Beta. Since the changes have been coming fast and furious these last few weeks I’m sure glad I use a Subversion client to connect to the WordPress Subversion Repository [...]

The latest design craze sweeping through the world of WordPress is magazine/news style themes. While these themes may be useful to those using WordPress as a CMS I would argue they are not needed for the average blogger. The themes are bloated and probably most folk wouldn’t need or even know how to use most [...]

Quite a controversy has erupted here in Manitoba over the provincial government’s plan to increase the speed limit on some highways from 100km/h to 110km/h. We have some groups spewing doom and gloom warning us of the carnage to come. We have the Manitoba Trucking Association complaining of the increased fuel costs that are sure [...]

Has anyone else seen this story? The Saudis are actually going to execute a woman for the crime of witchcraft. From the BBC,
The illiterate woman was detained by religious police in 2005 and allegedly beaten and forced to fingerprint a confession that she could not read.
Among her accusers was a man who alleged she made [...]
