XP Service Pack 3

Early reports show that the new Windows XP Service Pack 3 is more than just a patch release and that it may actually boost the overall performance of your system.
Using the OfficeBench benchmarking tool the Devil Mountain Software group showed a 10% increase in performance over Service Pack 2 and more than twice as fast as the same test under Vista.
The tech crowd can say what they please, I think Vista is a bloated resource hog. I’ve tried it and I’ll stick with XP.
