Harper In Command

Did anyone else catch the action in the House yesterday? Stephen Harper was fantastic. He was in complete command of the House as spoke on the issues and dealt with Liberal hecklers. My favourite part occurred when Harper was heckled as he spoke about agriculture. During his presentation a Liberal member (it may have been Wayne Easter but I’m not sure) yelled out “Show us the money!” The PM hesitated for moment then said (I’m paraphrasing) “Excuse me Mr.Speaker but did a Liberal member just say show us the money?” Not only did the House erupt in laughter but so did my house. To rub salt in the wounds Harper then added (paraphrasing again) “why don’t you find that stolen sponsorship money and give that to the farmers.”
