Manitoba is Jericho

The leadership race for the Manitoba Progressive Conservatives hasn’t exactly been a spine-tingling event so far. In fact dare I say I’ve seen more exciting curling matches. But as good ole JR would say “…business is about to pick up”. After speaking extensively with Jesse (The Body) Ventura, former WWE star Chris Jericho plans to throw his hat into the ring so to speak.
Yeah I know pro-wrasslers have this stereotypical image but today’s breed is a much different animal from their predecessors. Many have degrees in various fields and most are well-spoken. Jericho is no exception. If you’ve ever met the man, whose real name is Chris Irvine, you’ll know what I mean. The World Wrestling Federation’s first undisputed champion is extremely articulate and well versed in the issues with a keen interest in politics. Of course being a fellow Winnipegger and Manitoban doesn’t hurt either.
If nothing else this is certain to spark some life into an otherwise ho-hum affair.
