Take a Bow
24 January 2006 under Canadian Affairs
I’ve been so busy with the aftermath of the election and congratulating the CPC I neglected to acknowledge the contribution made by the members of the Blogging Tories. Although I’m not as pretentious as a few who actually think they are responsible for bringing down the government (get real people) the impact made by BT cannot be underestimated nevertheless. We fought the good fight. We were tenacious. We were unrelenting. Some have accused us of smear tactics. We all know the previous administration was up to its eyeballs in scandals - is it mudslinging to point it out? Is it wrong to harp about the unethical and illegal behaviour of our politicians? Hardly. Those pointing the finger of blame should point it in the right direction, that is at those engaging in unscrupulous and/or criminal activities and not at those focusing on it.
The Conservatives ran a near perfect campaign. They stuck to the issues while the Liberals’ smear tactics backfired on them. And the Blogging Tories played a pivotal role in getting the message out. Thanks to the abundance of information available on the net, attempts by the Grits to paint Harper as scary failed this time out.
Job well done. The Blogging Tories truly are “the envy of the copycats”. Take a bow.

Bloggers did a great thing in this election, I came in late and I’m not a newswatch blogger just a bitching housewife,,, but my bitching seems to effect a lot of people since I bitch about hard core feminists being unfair to unpaid womans labour which is STAY AT HOME MOMS!
We don’t get paid and we get spit on from die hard feminists in the Liberals Government!

You did a fine job.
It’s amusing that rather than attack the CPC on its daily policy announcements throughout the campaign opponents once again relied on the same old tired rhetoric - Harper is scary, CPC will outlaw SSM, CPC will outlaw abortion, yada yada yada. Thankfully the majority of voters didn’t buy it this time.
