Comments On - Moderation In Effect
23 January 2006 under Blogging
Okay so I’m not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Never said I was. A couple of posts ago I said that comments would be turned off until the polls closed so as to prevent abuse thanks to the gag law. I forgot that Blogger now has comment moderation - I even used it a few weeks ago. Duh. So effectively immediately comments are turned back on BUT comment moderation is in effect until the polls close which will be 10pm local time. (CST)

Hi Len,
I too, turned my comments back on after having them turned off for many months. (Got tired of the rants of the Libs).
I am using the “moderator approval” method before comments appear as well.
Not that I won’t publish comments from the Lunatic Left, I will — I just want the option of reviewing them before they appear. Kind of like asking people to wipe their feet on the rug before entering one’s home when it’s muddy or raining out.
Thanks for your comment post on your election outlook as well.
And hey — vote early and often!

I was flooded with moonbat rantings last year, long before Blogger ever enacted comment moderation but it’s been fairly normal as of late.
I’m only using the feature because of the election gag law.
