We’re Number One!

Well how about that. I won an award that I didn’t even know I was in the running for. I’m honoured and humbled. I don’t know what to say.
I certainly didn’t get into blogging for fame, fortune or chicks. I do it purely for the enjoyment factor. Blogging is a hobby that has become quite addictive for me and although there have been times where I haven’t posted each day it was due to circumstance and not choice. So it is in this spirit that I accept this most prestigious award and the global recognition that comes with it. I’m unsure at this point what the consequence of winning this coveted prize will be but I look forward to the future with great anticipation. I suppose now I’ll have to hire an agent to represent me in the negotiations of the soon to arrive book and movie deals - I’m a simple man with a simple blog.
I would like to thank all of the fine people involved with this honourable endeavour. It’s always nice to receive the accolades and recognition of your peers.
In the spirit of transparency I would like to take this opportunity to quell any rumours that may arise regarding the selection process. For the record, unlike the Liberal Party of Canada, I did not engage in any sort of vote buying or kickback scheme nor did I participate in any type of unethical, immoral or illegal activity with respect to this award. At no time did I ever give or receive any plain brown envelopes. I don’t even recall the last time I visited an Italian restaurant. To those who insist otherwise I say Blow Me!
