That’ll Teach ‘Em

Just when you thought the federal Liberals couldn’t possibly outdo themselves on the inane-o-meter they manage to find a way. I refer to their latest scheme in response to gun crime. Now we all know how much of a white elephant the gun registry has become but now the feds are proposing an outright ban on gun ownership for those convicted of using firearms in the commission of a crime. Yup, you heard that right. Criminals who illegally buy their guns on the street will be prohibited by law from owning them. My god. Is a lack of brain wave activity a prerequisite for membership in the Liberal Party?
Our justice system is a joke. We have judges who sentence killers to one day in jail. We have an asinine parole system which releases criminals convicted of non-violent crime after serving only one sixth of their sentences. We have the abomination otherwise known as the Young Offenders Act or whatever the hell its called now. Police resources are stretched to the limit. And what does this country do in response? Crack down on collectors and sport shooters! Then we tell criminals they will never be able to own firearms. Good grief. And people buy this crap. We deserve what we get.
Note: To you Winnipeg gangsters running around, never, never, never go to the Balmoral to buy a Saturday night special for fifty bucks - the feds will never let you purchase firearms legally if you do.
Note 2: I’m not suggesting the aforementioned establishment has anything to do with the aforementioned activities.
