One F**kup After Another

So exactly what does it take for a Liberal MP to resign? Not allegations of kickbacks or payoffs. Not charges of brown envelopes and Italian restaraunts. If there is a point when those in charge actually become accountable we haven’t yet seen it. And such is the case with Andy Scott, the beleagured Minister of Indian Affairs.
As the evacuation of Kashechewan is underway there is only one person to blame - nay, make that two. Scott, for his failure to act sooner and of course Martin for his failure to do anything about Scott’s failure to do anything. Would you expect anything different from Liberals?
While watching Question Period this afternoon I noted with interest Martin’s assertion that something will be done today. That’s all fine and dandy - to act when the heat is on. But where were they earlier? Why must it take the ferocity of Opposition questions and the heat of television cameras to jump start this administration into action? This community has been boiling its water for two years now! What the hell have the Liberals been doing for the last 2 years? I second the motion calling for his resignation. This is appalling. These people are living in conditions one would expect in a third world country! And shame on Martin for not only allowing this to drag on this long but also for his failure to act against Scott. Wonderful leadership indeed.
