We Have Airport Security?

Speaking of CBCunplugged, (see previous post) I found this disturbing item over there.
I’ve taken six flights in the last two weeks. At each gate and check-in counter, I’ve been asked for “government photo ID.” I started handed them my CBC photo ID just to see if they really look that carefully.
Not one person has questioned it.
Someone in the comments section stated that even student cards don’t raise any eyebrows. So much for increased security.
