Here is a list of relief agencies working feverishly to save hurricane victims as we speak. Please help them to help those who need it.

As well, in times such as these we tend to forget about the animals caught up in the horror. Here are a few agencies committed to helping animal survivors.
It goes without saying, anyone who is in a position to help out please do so.
Edit: Remember one thing, whenever a natural disaster of any kind occurs anywhere in the world the United States is the first to respond. Now they need our help.
Update: While surfing for info I discovered that Daily Kos has an excellent thread going where people are submitting contact info on several relief agancies. While DK may not be on my list of favourite reads I commend them for their efforts in this regard. Now is not the time for partisan bickering.
