Handsome Jack Scores 57%

I was just going over the results of the latest Environics Research Group poll and there is not much in there that surprised me. I did note with interest that Handsome Jack drew an approval rating of 57% for his role as leader of the NDP.
Approval of the job Jack Layton has done as NDP leader has risen by five points to the current level of 57 percent, making him the only national party leader who is approved of by a majority of Canadians. Three in ten Canadians (31%) disapprove of Layton.
This doesn’t surprise me really. Although I may be both a Conservative and a conservative I like Handsome Jack. The poll’s results clearly indicate that Canadians aren’t exactly enthralled with the NDP agenda but they do support its leader. I don’t know much about Layton but he strikes some kind of chord with me on a personal level. I detest the party he has aligned himself with but I admire the man. He’s intelligent, articulate and quick-witted. I don’t know that that’s enough to shore up lagging NDP support, but they do indeed have a gem within their ranks. Hope the Dippers appreciate him.
