All AgitProp, All The Time… points out that The People’s Network aka CBC plans to focus on Canadian drama in an effort to recapture those viewers who have fled en masse. Uh…good luck with that strategy. Why not just ask the feds for more money? I can only imagine how difficult it must be to survive on yearly handouts of $1 billion of taxpayer dough. He also links to an item about the Royal Canadian Air Force Memorial Museum and its plans to raise money to finance the homecoming of Canada’s ‘Air Force One’ which is currently rotting at the end of a runway in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

It looks like All things Canadian….. survived the Great Ottawa Blogger Meetup. I think get togethers like this are a wonderful idea. Speaking of wonderful ideas, the CPC plans on making Stephen Harper available for more and more public events by hitting the barbecue circuit themselves full bore.

The Honourable Andrew Scheer, M.P. blasts the Liberals proposed $12 billion day-care strategy out of the water. He also exposes yet more inconsistencies from Belinda Stronach by relating a rather humorous exchange between herself and Yves Lessard.

Angry in the Great White North is hot on the trail of Ethics Commissioner Bernard Shapiro. Check out these items here and here.

Anonalogue offers up some thoughts on the now over Gomery Inquiry and provides several links to stories on the topic. He also asks why Liberal Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Anne McLellan, whose job it is to make Canada safer, is closing RCMP detachments?

Babble on. Babbling Brooks gives us some analysis on the new Batman movie - 2 thumbs up! He also takes a look at a Fred Kaplan piece in Slate. Babble off.

Back Off Government! has an interesting item about space exploration and how it relates to modern life. Just as others have done he too adds his displeasure to the fact Henry Morgentaler received an honorary degree.

Black Sheep Press discusses the bill introduced by Helena Guergis that would force a bi-election within thirty-five days of switching parties. He also joins other bloggers in taking the Ethics Commissioner to task.

Blogette has posted a transcript of a secret MSN chat between Paul Martin and Jack Layton and is also pleased with Senator Colin Kenny’s position on the Windsor-Detroit border.

BloggingBlue discusses the state of the public health care system. He also points out how Roger Galloway is quite vocal in his criticism of Martin.
