The Big Blue Bash part-6

…and the saga is coming to a close as this is the 6th and final part.

For anyone who hasn’t yet read the Monte Solberg blog then do so. He is the MP for the Medicine Hat constituency and his blog is a fantastic way for voters to keep up with the inner-workings of government.

LannyCardow.com talks about the recent speech by “Newt” and provides a link to view the video.

The Wudrick Blog viscerates a column written by Linda McQuaig in which she argues Canadians want reinvestment in social programs rather than debt reduction. I wonder who she hangs out with?

Let’s get away from politics again and talk…curling. Adam Daifallah, who writes a weekly column about curling for the National Post discusses his column on CBC Sports’ coverage of the Scott Tournament of Hearts.

Highway 401 Blog mentions that a) Ontario is upset with Ottawa, b) Quebec is upset with Ottawa and c) Quebecers are happy that Ontario is upset with Ottawa. (not realizing of course that they are the reason for Ontario’s unhappiness)

Adam C. Gravitis has some good advice for the CPC - don’t become a single issue party.

Right of Left offers up more discourse on the federal budget.

Mosing on over to DavidArtemiw.com I see that there hasn’t been an update in awhile but I found this gem in the archives. (yeah I actually read archives) In his post dated 13 April 2004, he discusses John Tory’s bid to assume the leadership of the Ontario Progressive Conservatives. It’s well written and well thought out.

And finally we head over to Fighting on the Beaches where Christopher explains his opposition to single-transferable voting. Interesting stuff indeed.

And thus concludes this edition of The Big Blue Bash. The last time I did this I forgot someone. This time out I was a little more careful so I don’t think anyone was left out. If so please let me know so that I can update. Until next time…
