The Big Blue Bash part-4

Posted on | February 27, 2005 |

…and the saga continues.

To kick off part-4 we pay a visit to Bound by Gravity where see some a neat post on Canadian aircraft carriers. No, really…we used to have some.

Next we stopped off at Daimnation! where we read a great item on George Bush and Vladimir Putin. Evidently Dubya had them all eating out his hand - except for Vlad that is.

Plum Blossoms has an item up about how once again the Israelis have extended an olive branch to the PA.

Getting away from politics again, we see the topic du-jour at The Hunter’s Blog is a musical band called Saga. I have to admit that I’ve never heard of them as I’m a jazz fan but I’ll look for their stuff now.

OMG!! According to the Canadian Honky-Tonk Bar Association, Governor-General Adrienne Clarkson wants the Canadian and American women’s hockey teams to play for the Stanley Cup this year. I don’t know what to say.

Over at Striving Against Opposition they are discussing a statement by the pope that equates gay marriage with a new ideology of evil.

Will Paul Martin (Mr.Dithers) go down in history as one of Canada’s worst PMs? Japnaam Singh makes a pretty good case.

The Tiger in Winter is travelling abroad and checks in from Dublin.

Some great photos of a “Free Lebanon” rally held on Parliament Hill are posted at Ravishing Light.

An intriguing argument is put forward by Stephen Taylor on why the NDP and Liberals should consider a merger. What do you think?

That rounds out part-4 of The Big Blue Bash. Coming up next is part-5…
