The Big Blue Bash part-2
Posted on February 27, 2005 under Blogging
…the saga continues.
Small Dead Animals muses that the CBC seems to be unaware of the warm welcome US President George Bush received from thousands of people in Bratislava. And what happened to the promise to increase military spending?
Kevin of The Skrepnek Sidebar offers his thoughts on the budget and also features a wonderful political cartoon on PM Paul Martin and BMD.
Strong World also believes the lack of a proper repsonse to the Liberal budget by the Conservatives is a tactical error. Bill also lets us know about a new website “that has become instantly unpopular with the leftist blogs.” Great stuff!
Colbert’s Comments draws attention to an issue that I wasn’t even aware of - make sure to check it out. They too express frustration at the lack of a Conservative response to the Liberal budget.
North Western Winds offers up some thoughts on the Terri Schaivo case. They follow it up with a hilariously funny item called TWO DOZEN THINGS THAT MAKE A BRIT FEEL LIKE A MAN.
Remember the controversy-in-the-making mentioned over at Conservative Life? A quick recap - a reporter with the Western Standard broke a story that was actually written about in detail 6 weeks prior by a blogger. Well here is the blogger in question, Vitor Marciano of What it takes to win… Vitor celebrates the whopping 30 bucks he’ll save next year thanks to the tax cuts introduced in the new Liberal budget.
Babble on. Babbling Brooks has more reaction to the Tory lack of reaction to the budget. They also explore the so-called increased military spending. Babble off.
Yet even more on Martin’s stance on BMD courtesy of BlueTory. (get prepared for more confusion courtesy of the Liberal Party). BlueTory also examines a recent move by Alberta to raise that province’s minimum wage.
Ah, over at Back Off Government I see they’re discussing a topic dear to my heart - that is the big brother mentality of our socialist federal government and its insistence to take care of us from the cradle to the grave. Also, more on the comedic yet pathetic stance of Martin on BMD. Martin seems kind of like a cross between John Kerry and Jean Chretein.
The Blue Maple Leaf tosses their two cents in with respect to the budget and a slightly different take on Martin and BMD.
And thus brings an end to part-2. Coming up next…part-3.
