Blogging Tories Round-up Part 1

Just sitting here this evening listening to a little SmoothJazz.com via Winamp while browsing the fine blogs that make up the Blogging Tories and came across numerous well written posts covering a wide variety of topics. Thought I’d put together a good ole fashioned round-up.

My first stop was on the west coast where Japnaam Singh discusses positive discrimination and how it relates to the Sikh community in the UK. He then expands upon his premise to include N.American society.

Joel Fleming makes the case for increased privatization starting with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario. He also talks about…wait for it…political bias in the classroom. What’s that?

Paul Jané at All AgitProp, All The Time… recounts a fond memory from the University of Gaza in Montreal, er, Concordia University and then muses about Paul Martin’s Tragedy of a Million Griefs Tour - 2005.

Brent Colbert of Colbert’s Comments asks why Megan Harris is a spokesperson for the Conservative Party, when will the topic of SSM be subjected to a binding national referendum and whether or not any ridings put the idea forward to the National Executive.

It had to happen sooner or later. Darcey at Dust My Broom blasts the gay lobby movement for playing the Hitler card in their fight against a certain Bishop. He also unloads on Barbara Boxer for her criticism of Condoleeza Rice and the war in Iraq noting that Boxer supported a possible war under then-president Clinton. While you’re there, take the Moonbat Quiz.

Blogette has a slightly different take on the Sgro/Singh affair, one that I don’t necessarily disagree with.

Ken over at Ken’s Blog reasons that the Conservative Party must be more consistent with its positions. He then proceeds to open up a can of whoop ass on Lou Dobbs! WOOHOO

Conservative Life, the Grand Poobah of the Blogging Tories, has a tremendous tribute to outgoing Secretary Colin Powell.

Damian of Daimnation talks about the upcoming Iraqi elections and questions the motives of certain Moonbats. (you know who you are)

Babbling Brooks takes a look at Newfoundland’s imposed economic/social status within Confederation.

Curt at North Western Winds dishes up an excellent entry on the continuing Bishop Henry story. It’s a long read but it’s worth it.

Popping over to Political Staples we see Greg roll up his sleeves as he dives into some stats, slicing and dicing and analyzing the numbers which cause him to draw some interesting conclusions with respect to Liberal support across the country.

Kate at Small Dead Animals ponders the Shotgun Blog dustup and offers some advice to all the Norms out there.

Look out - Brock is on the attack! Brock: On The Attack has in his crosshairs, national security in general and Canada Customs in particular.

…more to come
