Democrat Fear-Mongering

As the upcoming presidential debate fast approaches, the Democrats have really cranked up their propaganda machine. Firstly, they accused Iraqi PM Allawi of being a “puppet” of the Bush administration, a remark not lost on the terrorists currently engaged in the attempt to destabilize the situation in Iraq we might add. Then they accused the President of waffling with respect to how Iraqi elections would take place and the overall situation in Iraq. Then they used their favourite “Q” word. “No matter how much the Bush campaign stretches the truth, the war has become the quagmire it is today because of the way George Bush rushed into Iraq without allies or a plan to win the peace - period,” said Kerry campaign spokesman Phil Singer.
May we remind the Democrats that the current “quagmire” exists only because of the continued interference of rogue states, most notably Iran, who have a keen interest in the shaping of Iraqi politics. It is the Iranians who are urging and supporting the insurgency, both internally and otherwise. May we also remind the Democrats that for at least a year after the conclusion of the Second World War, insurgencies, unrest and violence still occurred on a regular basis by those who refused to accept the outcome of the war. Insofar as the US going into Iraq without allies, we’re sure the 30-plus members of the Coalition would have something to say about that.
As usual, the arguments put forth by the Democrats have no factual basis and as such they must resort to more fear-mongering.
